Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP's Fabio Quartararo and Álex Rins were excited to be back in action after the three-week summer break. However, the Grand Prix of Great Britain Friday was not without its challenges. Despite hard work, the teammates ended the Practice session in 17th and 19th position respectively, which put them on the entry list for tomorrow's Q1.

Quartararo wrapped up this morning's FP1 in P15. He worked diligently during the afternoon Practice to find a better feeling on the bike and set a 1'57.916s best time on lap 17/17. The effort put him in 17th place in the timesheets, 1.636s from first.

Rins had finished FP1 in P18 and put his head down in the afternoon. He made an almost 2.3-second improvement compared to this morning when he clocked a 1'57.998s on lap 17/19 during the Practice. It had him rank 19th in the classifications, 1.718s off today's fastest time.

The teammates will be back in action for FP2 held tomorrow from 11:10-11:40 (GMT+1). The qualifying sessions will follow from 11:50-12:30, and the 10-lap Sprint will start at 16:00.
