Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP's Fabio Quartararo and Álex Rins have travelled from Japan to Indonesia for Round 17 of the 2026 MotoGP World Championship. The Mandalika International Circuit is a favourite among riders thanks to its unique seaside setting, flowing layout, and the incredible enthusiasm of the Indonesian fans.

Quartararo arrives in Mandalika looking forward to one of the most vibrant events on the calendar. He has fond memories of racing in Indonesia, having secured second place there in 2022 and third place in 2023. After showing promising pace at Motegi, the Frenchman is keen to build on the work and continue moving forward this weekend. Quartararo currently sits 15th in the championship standings.

Rins, together with the rest of the team, received a warm welcome upon arriving in Indonesia and he is eager to get back on track. The Spaniard enjoys the character of the Mandalika circuit, where his best MotoGP result is a fifth place achieved in 2022. Following a challenging race in Japan, he is focused on making further progress this weekend. Rins is currently 20th in the championship classification.

The 4.31 km Mandalika International Circuit, located on Lombok Island, is surrounded by stunning tropical scenery. Since joining the MotoGP calendar in 2022, it has produced several memorable races and quickly became a fan and rider favourite. Although the longest straight measures just 732m, the circuit still delivers plenty of thrills thanks to its flowing layout of 11 right-hand and six left-hand corners, creating multiple overtaking opportunities throughout the lap.

The Grand Prix of Indonesia is held in the GMT+8 time zone. FP1 takes place on Friday from 10:45-11:30 local track time, followed by Practice from 15:00-16:00. On Saturday, FP2 is scheduled for 10:10-10:40, with Qualifying running from 10:50-11:30. The 13-lap Sprint starts at 15:00. Sunday's schedule includes Warm Up from 10:40-10:50 before the 27-lap Grand Prix begins at 15:00.
